SGVEWP, in partnership with the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments, hosted a workshop on energy efficiency stimulus funding for more than 50 city officials where they were able to: Learn the latest information on stimulus projects in the San Gabriel Valley; Have an opportunity to discuss and troubleshoot challenges relative to project implementation and reporting with other cities and stakeholder agencies.

This event honored the cities of Alhambra, Claremont, El Monte, and San Marino for their work on various energy efficiency projects over the past year. Industry Hills, CA LED Holiday Light Exchange SGVEWP is offering to SCE residential customers located in the San Gabriel Valley the opportunity to exchange their incandescent holiday light strings for LED holiday light strings for free. LEDs are exceptionally energy efficient and use up to 90% less energy than a comparable incandescent bulb. The amount of electricity consumed by just one 7-watt incandescent bulb could power 140 LEDs—enough to light more than four 10-foot LED strings. Qualifying customers may exchange up to two strings each. SGVEWP representatives will offer the LED holiday light exchange at five upcoming city-sponsored holiday events.
