The City of Monrovia passed a resolution accepting its status as an energy-efficient Model City for its ongoing work in upgrading its City facilities.  The City of Monrovia has undertaken energy-efficient upgrades along Myrtle Street, and is taking steps to upgrade the City Hall, the Fire Station, and the Corporate Yard.  To view the resolution please

Solis’ green jobs act signed into law

The San Gabriel Valley EnergyWise Partnership supported Southern California Edison’s "Change a Light, Change the World" campaign during the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday celebration in West Covina, CA. The Partnership provided free Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs) to participants in exchange for their signed pledged cards to "Change a Light and Change the World." The event was very successful as hundreds of participants were educated about the importance of energy and water conservation.
